Description
80 years ago in 1934, recovering from a nervous breakdown, frustrated and seeking inspiration, Georgia O'Keeffe drove her Model T Ford to the edges of Ghost Ranch for the first time. She immediately decided to move there.
O'Keeffe wrote: "[the] cliffs over there are almost painted for youyou thinkuntil you try to paint them." Among guests to visit her at the ranch over the years were Charles and Anne Lindbergh, singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell, poet Allen Ginsberg, and photographer Ansel Adams.
The rest is art history.
This shot in perhaps a spot that can be considered the southern beginning or gateway to Ghost Ranch.

Thank you Katerina, I thought to make this vintage as suggesting the 1934 arrival in her Model-T Ford.
